Scrappers Delights using the beautiful Free Digi

Hiya ..I absolutely love this image ..It is actually done with balloons but I am not a great lover of baloons so I cut her out without them so I was able to re size her and have a nice play with her too..She has been coloured with Pencils onto Neenah Solar white..I then carefully fussy cut her.. I recently purchased a paper pas with 180 sheets from the DCWV called the Fresh Floral Stack and this background is from there..It was too beautiful to cover and you have seen my work before and I actually like to use the artwork in the backgrounds to enhance my image..This ticked all the boxes..I cut the top left corner and folded it and popped faux stitching on it, then popped some pretty coordinating paper behind it, this was the off cut from what was left over ftom the insert piece ..Just love cards that use bits and bobs of paper up too...Then I mounted it on Craft card..Fantastic stuff ..Gives strength to your card and goes with just about anything..I use Crafter's Companion (50 @ 280 gsm and it embosses beautifully too) sheet packs at a good price too ..I then used the same ditsy print inside for going behind the verse, hand wrote my tag as it was early morning and I am in a flat ,I then mounted it onto an off cut of my craft card to marry in with the rest of the card..popped on some tiny mulberry pale pink roses and i am so in love with this card ..Got to say it is one of my favorites..but I also think its nice not being a Christmas card too.. And not only being a very pretty card it has used up bits and bobs left over from cutting too so much less wast than on some cards and the flowers I found in the bottom of my box ,forgot they were there..Fairies must have put them there  lol :)x

Stunning Darice Embossing folders

My first card I have used coordination signature 45 Once embossed the lovely animal print style pieces of card were then sanded over to show off the embossing ,each showed up beautifully ,but I did  need to add some gold ink to the dark one as it was lessobvious..I layered each onto white with hint of gold Centura gold ,then black cardstock.I then mounted it onto white again then black and and before placing it on my card I placed some rustic ribbon around as shown, then tied a smaller piece with a charm hanging from it too ..this was then placed onto a card blank also made using centura Pearl and made yp an incert using the verse creator on one of our cds,as I normally would :)

On this card I used a beautiful long folder of a ribbon ,which I cut to form the corner detail.. Using the same coordinations paperpack as last time I chose the beautiful yellow.Mounted it on my oen card base..I coloured the beautiful swirl corner folder with pencils as I wanted it to look soft ,but bright Sn pencils used are 021,017,089,004,020  then blended them in ,this made the corner stand out a lot more..I had used a smooth white card for this from Sheena and it took the pencils beautifully ..Once I had layered it up I realised it needed a little more so punches some very small flowers from the off cuts and popped them on ..I really enjoyed playing with this one :)x

This one is my favourite one ..simple and clean..I know we should not have favourites but sometimes you cannot help it. This is like a basket weave..I used Centura Pearl hint of gold ,I am not a fan of whit cards this is me second but this is wow..the Centura is what popped it.I mounted it onto simple craft card popped some of the lace from my stash around it ..Cut and rolled three small quilling roses and popped on some ivy leaves..I wrote my tag..This would be lovely for a wedding, anniversary, birthday or just add a little something and it could be anything as its a blank canvas being white and a great card to have in your arsenal for that emergency card  Thanks for looking :)x

All Dressed Up ..A little Skater

Wow what a turn of advents..Now I am designing for All Dressed Up .. Another UK designer not too far from me she is in  in Nottingham.. I have loved these cute girls for ages and now I have a good excuse to play with them regular ..YIPEE !!.. My first card is a lovely Christmas or even a nice winter Birthday card if you know someone into skating..I have used my CC embossing folder for the background as the dots look like snowballs, This is then mounted onto Centura pearl in red, this has a beautiful sheen on it .The image is coloured using Faber-Castelle Polychromos Pencils, to which I have added a background of various pale chalks to break down the stark white and give a contrast from the card itself. After adding a touch of glitter I then mounted it firstly onto multi coloured silver mirror board and finished with more of the red Centura Pearl. The small holly leaves are cut from a Sue Wilson die set they are very fiddly as all nearly singular ,but they look lovely on the card..The tiny Poinsettia's, I think were either Britania Dies or Signiture, but more inclined to think Britania,I got them off Ebay .The Merry Christmas die is a Marianne die which also has Seasons Greatings with it too , Thanks for looking :)x

A Crafty Mess... challenge two

Here is my inspiration for our second challenge ..I am using a Bugaboo digi .I wanted this one as I thought it was so much fun and a bit tongue in the cheek too lol..I have used Backing papers from a lovely paperpad from Hobbycraft..Black card covered with beighe lace and gold and red ribbon ,also Hobbycraft ,last year I think.. The image is coloured on Neenah Solar White with Faber-Castell Pollychromos .. The Flower is a Sue Wilson die  and small star gems... I made my own sentiment on this one.  I just love the digi stamps from this firm they are so varied and they are also instant downloads too,I hate waiting days for a stamp to come. You can find this and many more fantastic stamps here..

Inky Impressions..Snow Challenge

I have chosen this lovely image for this card as it reminds me so much of when my kids were small and how they were bundled up to go out in the snow or rain..They are all grown up now with children of their own and some of those are nearly grown up and I am feeling old hahaha!.. The card is 8x8 and the backing paper is from a pad from Hobbycraft ,it is full of lush thick papers and was not too expensive either . I then matted a scrap of red dot paper onto some craft card, then added it to the card using 3d pads. The image was coloured in with pencils to which i later added glitter..This was mounted onto craft card also and added using 3D foam. The little vintage clips are from another sheet from the same pack that was left over from another card, these were attached with 3D gel glue ..The snowflakes are cut from Centura Pearl also left over from another card and were arranged over the card and finished with silver sparkles..Thank you for looking :) x

Scrappers Delights ..Non Traditional Christmas

Wow was i nervous about this one..I am a traditional Christmas person deep down ,but am open to a change too ..but!!! I have never done a large animal before ..A few deep breaths ,pencils and blenders and about four hrs later here we are ..I so love it :)...The backgrounds are papers left over from when no top left on the pad sorry..I cut the snowflake up and put through the printer to put the faux frame on, naughty I know but I did it because I can lol..Then I cut out the deer and placed it where it needed to be and finished with Larger poinsettias from Marianne Designs,Smaller ones by Signature and Two of Tattered Lace winter dies ,one was mistletoe ,but I cannot remember the other. The leaves are Crafters Companion Ivy small leaves..Thank you for looking :)x
