Saturday Inspiration.. Morgans Artworld

Hiya, for today's inspiration card I have created an easel card using one of the new Create-a-card Dies from Crafter's Companion This one is called RUTH..These have not yet been launched ,but are available all over the internet... I have used the beautiful Butterfly Kisses Digi and coloured her with Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card.. I then fussy cut her out by drawing around the die to the size I wanted ,dont forget you have the cut ,plus the inside edge and the outside edge too..For the Pink around the topper I coloured some white Sheenas card with SN Water Colour pens,at the same time I coloured the half lace doily I had cut prior to match,This is from the original Downton Abbey Collection from CC.
The backing Papers are from First Edition Love Letters and I have edged them with pink in the same paper but off the back of another piece.I glued all the papers in place then stuck the doily down so it was not stuck at the top as I wanted to use this as a stopper for the card,I just gently turned it up so it caught the top card and held it in place. The Ribbon used is unusual but I thought it would suit nicely. ,a bit hard tying as it is a little stiff, but it does look pretty in a bow.The flowers are also from CC they are from the Die- sire Range and always add something special to a card ,each time you use them they look so different ..thank you so much for popping by :)xx

With Love..Sasayaki Glitter Dt card

Todays beautiful image has been coloured with Polychromos pencils onto Neenah card..I then mounted her onto some pretty silver holowgraphic card with tiny circles on that add a little sparkle to the card throughout...I could not find any papers in my stash of pads to suit this image so I have printed papers from a Tattered Lace CD  It is this years Springtime Collection..got some stunning papers on there too and of course you can re-size and change colour as you wish ,so dont be put off by cd's they do have a use in the craft room .The papers have more oranges and greens in than they show on the pictures ,it is the problem with taking them at three in the morning you need to use a white light and it tends to lighten a lot of colours..I layered all the papers onto the holographic paper, and added to the 8x8 card base. Then added the topper with 3D glue gel and cut the flowers ..NEW to tonic this week very quick coming..This one is called ,Sweet Melia.I cut it from 300 gsm Sheena's card from CC,then coloured then in with CC SN Water colour pens ,very quick and also vibrant ..these I added with the 3D glue too after shaping..I then added the sentiment,Docrafts mini die and some gems to finish.. Thank you for popping by :) xx

Digital Delights By Louby Lou..Watering Maizy

This was so much fun to do ..I coloured her with my Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card, I then mounted her onto craft ,then white ,then craft card again to give a nice frame to her ..The backing papers are from my Tonic Pad ,I think it is the Summer one,the Background one is just mounted onto craft card but I have used the white and craft for the section that goes across.. I used Sheena's 3oo gsm for the flowers ( Docrafts Daisies ) and the Lacy border is from CC and is from The Bebunny Collection if I remember, sorry I store a lot of my dies in boxes on magnetic sheets . and I don't label them .I coloured these in with SN Watercolour pens ,then added some sparkly gems to finish..Thank you for visiting :) xx

Beautiful Lilacs, My Besties UK Same But Different Card

Same but different week this week ..The lovely image is coloured using Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah Card. ..I used a Tattered lace pinpoint basic die to cut her out and mounted her onto craft card..I then used two different pieces of paper from my Santorio ,I think its the one that came out with the image called Mirrabelle..These are beautiful and I covered the seam between the two with a pretty strip of cotton crochet type lace, which works brilliant with both papers. Then I mounted them onto craft card before adding to the 8x8 blank base. For the decoration I have used a die from Joy crafts of a Lilac, just love these flowers ,so pretty and smell so fresh and sweet too .I cut them in White 300 gsm Sheena's card from CC and coloured with SN pens and water colour pens to get the mix of colours that Lilacs have..I gently curved the blossoms and leaves and added to the card once the topper was added ..Both with 3D glue gel. This adds height and dimension..Then the game started fifty odd little flowers to add..also with 3d glue..so small and I have dexterity problems ,could not find my tweezers grr..You know how it goes took longer to hunt for them than actually stick flowers on..But boy they look fab when finished and those little touches just finish the whole flower off..If I will use them again anytime soon, well maybe lol.. I have left the sentiment off so I can add when it is sent to who it if for ..Thank you for visiting :) xx

Special Father .. Morgan's Art World Saturday Inspiration

For todays inspiration card I have done one of my favourites a baby dragon..I have coloured it with Polychromos and Prismacolor Pencils onto Neenah Solar White 216 gsm card from CC..The backing papers are odds n ends from my now growing smaller box of last bits of pads,so I cannot remember which they came from..I chose the papers first then coloured the dragon to match on this card ,which is the opposite to what I normally do ,so it was my own challenge lol..I have backed the papers onto black card to add a bit of drama and I do think it also makes it look more like a mans card with black  The Dies that i have used are from CC Downton Abbey (the first collection) ..The edge of the picture is actually four crowns stuck onto the back of the black card ..I thought it made a nice border.. I did some black wiggly lines around the image before sticking it down as I thought it would just finish it off nicely, this was done with a black Pitt Pen freehand and is not with the actual stamp..I just wanted to frame it before adding it to some paper then black card... Thank you for popping by :)xx

Digital Delights By Louby Lou

Hiya this has been a long job but I must say its the most fun and creative I have felt doing this in a long time as this is card making from nothing lol!..It has been created using the lovely new Piscies mermaid and she is just adorable..I coloured her with my Polychromos onto Neenah card, then cut her out.I then created the background using torn strips from various papers I have had in my stash for more years than I would like to mention lol ..so its a great way to use scraps and odds n ends of papers..Before gluing together I used some glossy accents and added glitter to it along the top edge to represent froth ..,ok artistic licence lol!.,but it looks pretty..I then added them to an card blank and did a thin line frame around them with a Pitt pen to make the papers  pop out ..The image was added with 3D glue gel to give some depth and I added some die cuts that I coloured with SN Sparkle pens that I had cut from the set from First Editions called Under The Sea.. It has been a fun project and one I am sure a little girl would absolutely love ..Thanks for visiting :) xx

Sasayaki Glitter DT ..Shaped card challenge

todays card I have done using a pretty little image from Sasayaki Glitter,I have coloured her using Polychromos Pencils onto Neehnah Solar white card.,she was then cut out using a Tonic fancy circle die ,then mounted onto another one cut into some pretty dot paper from one of my Tonic paper pads.. To create the outer circle I drew around the outside of the die that I had cut the pink paper from and hand cut the shape out. I then mounted the topper onto this with 3D glue gel to give it more depth, and popped top one side to dry whilst I created the card easel. This I also drew freehand around the die I used to create the outer white edge of the topper ..
First one,not thinking I did a big mistake and forgot to check the edge and had to rub it all out lol..good job I had not cut it lol..after cutting it out successfully and using it by placing the die just off the edge of the fold on the card( for the newbies ) You are left with a nice circular card..This I folded the one half in half and firmly creased which is important with an easel card as it does help it to sit correctly onto the card base..With my easels I fold out and not inwards as I think that these sit nicer this way ,and it makes it nice and easy to attach the top piece too.I then glued the on the pink dot paper to match the topper onto the bottom unfolded section to match the top..I added the top carefully to make set it had a good tight hold ..I always use a tacky glue for this instead of my faithful Collall all purpose as it is an instant grab as well as strong.. I prefer this to tape.I Added the stopper to hold where I wanted the topper to sit with3 D glue a few deeper blobs art the back and this forms the stop, you can just see this on the pictures, sometimes you do not need one but on this card I did..The de  Die cut daisy flowers are from X cut and coloured them with a SN pen C3, then added some gems to finish..Thanks for popping by xx

My Besties Uk ..Use Pink

I have to admit this card has been a headache from the start..I bet youou know where I am coming from..You love the image, you colour it and ..Hmmm needs a bit more and a bit more..well got that finished then went blank on the card ,which is very rare for me ..but after a while of playing with papers I came up with this and I hope you like it ,after all the Bestie is the focus and I felt this worked....So those of you who are newbies ,Yes us more experienced crafters get stuck too lol!.. I have coloured her onto Neenah card using Polychromos Pencils, The pretty papers are from First Edition - Love Letters ,must get another pad I love this one ,and I have mounted the papers onto some pretty holographic card I have in my stash, it sets off the pink as well as adds a sparkle to it too.The decorations I have used are the birdcages from Crafter's Companion's  Kimono Range and I added some pretty ribbon roses to the top to make them look pretty and to pull the pinks over from the topper,The Best wishes are also from CC  the Diesire range..Words only very in expencive and just finish the card off..Lastly I added some pretty pearl clusters,,All my cards have matching inserts and I leave them blank until I know who they are going to then I add the verse..Thank you for popping by :)xx

White and Beige ,plus pale pink and black..613 Avenue Create Dt Card

Hiya ,Todays card I have used an image from Odd Ball Art..I have coloured her on Neenah Solar White 216 gsm card with Polychromos Pencils..I must admit working with the restriction of colours I found easier in pencil than I think in Pen..I used one main pink and vairious pressures on the pencil to get the depth and shading..This is why I love my pencils so much.and the same with the beige too,but to give a bit of texture to the dress I went over it once coloured and did some cross hatching to give it a bit of texture with a slightly darker beige...The background I have made from the new CC Downton Abbey Decorative Lattice ...I joined two together and baked them with craft card ..I then mounted onto some pretty pink dot paper I had in my over - printed box and then added more craft card..
I had to make my own card up with this so I used some of CC Sheena Douglas's 300 gsm card as I could not put my hands onto my white Centura Pearl  that I usually use for this job ,at the moment ,but this card  is good and makes a great card base too ,I then added the prepared decorated card base to it , the insert , popped the layered up topper on with 3D glue gel then decorated it with flowers coloured with SN pens and with craft card leaves, and popped on some pretty gems to finish..The flowers also CC Sheena's Perfect partners, from her very first set ,I love these so pretty, I think they are wild rose but I always think of the summer coming when I use these ..Thanks for visiting :)xx
