Sketch Saturday New Challenge

Hiya..Well this is my first Christmas Card for this year..I have used fab images from Digi Stamp Boutique, well worth having a visit and having a look, the little cuties I have used were part of a set of four and they were under £1.50 so could not complain ..I have coloured them in with Polychromos Pencils on Neenah card..Then cut them and mounted them onto silver iridescent card.I have uses Tonic's thick glitter like a sparkling glue in a triangle bottle to put a bit of sparkle where the snow would be and in the center of the flowers as if they have had snow balls thrown at them, thats my story and sticking to it  lol!,it still moves although thick and mistakes happen is all I will say ..not used it since last year ..The papers I have used are from Polkadoodles Winnie Winter Wonderland..I have to hunt my papers out from last year ,they are in a box in the bedroom I hope.So I used these instead as easily reached ..These were also mounted onto the same card ,as was the computer generated sentiment for the middle of the card..The flowers were cut from some red mirri card and the leaves from the left over card from the mounting sheets..These were all cut from a set of dies from China..There is one other larger leaf and flower ,but i only used the smaller ones for this card as I thought with the images being so small it would over whelm them if the blooms ere too big..

Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Reminder

I coloured this lovely image with my Polychromos pencils ,I added white Uni  Gel pen to the sea for texture as you will see in the middle picture and the background is done using pastel chalks....I then cut it out and added it to black card..The background papers are from a Polkadoodles CD rom called Winnie and Rocco Starfish and Sandcastles..a very yummy cd ..I have layered the plainer papers onto black card and added them to the left to sit under the image and used a square off one paper to go into the one corner with the fish on..To finish I also added some fishes I cut our from another sheet ,bent them slightly so they would stand proud from the page and added them with 3D glue..I love playing with lovely papers and cutting them up and using them to create the card,it makes them very different and very individual too..to finish I off- set cut the sentiment RELAX and backed with black ,shaped it into a flag and attached with 3D glue, this adds a little more movement to the card..

WWODT Monthly Challenge Card

I have done a pretty little easel card for this image..Made using glitter card in a pretty blue, sparkled with other colours...I have used a lovely set of dies to cut the majority of the layers out, these were from China as were the flower dies too, over allI have kept the the feeling the card delicate and pretty as is the image..I love this one since I first saw Julia's launch of  it.. before I was on this team...
I wanted to turn her more mermaid than girl so I tinted the skin too ,but not enough that she looks odd..I left the background plain for this one as I felt after all the hours of work on her I just could not risk making any mistakes..Yup! been there ,got the book lol !..She is coloured as usual in Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card..

Sasayaki Glitter New Release Day

I had a lot of fun playing with this image..I coloured her with my Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card..I used rich blues and Turquoises, pinks, oranges ,yellows and greens etc throughout..I have kept the card design simple as I think the image says it all,and is decorative in itself..The image and the Papers are all mounted onto craft card..The background one is from DCWV Floral Stack ,the dotty paper I thought would represent bubbles..it is from my off cut from my box its a Tonic paper..And the soft green antique looking one behind the image is from a pad I had from a magazine a long time ago and is a Prima Botanical 6x6 paper pad..What I love about doing these types of cards is you can use up all the odd bits that are lying in a box because they were just too good to throw away.I did the soft backgroundbehind the image with blue's and a green pastel chalks to finish..

Sketch Saturday ..Drawn with Character

I have really enjoyed making this card ,from the start to the finish..The cute puppy is from Drawn with Character and was such a pleasure to colour with my Polychromos Pencils..I then cut him and mounted him onto craft card..I also used Craft card for matting the papers too..The papers are from a Polkadoodles cd called Horace and Boo..I love Nikky's work its so cute and fun and the papers are exceptional FABULOUS on each of the cd's I have brought ..Sadly although I collect most of her cd's I don't get a lot of time to colour them in .but I love them all the same ,I do the odd one but so fare never put them on a card Its hoe it goes when you have so many cards to do lol! ..I finished the card off with a small hessian bow,..

Sasayaki Glitter Blog Challenge Your favourite colour

New Challenge and this time it's Your favourite colour..Mine is RED as you can see..Hard work doing all the pleats, not sure if its the paper or the pencils I feel the reds did not work so well this time But I manage to get it done in a fashion, though I am not over excited with this one ..I used my usual Pencils Polychromos onto Neenah  and used pastel chalks for the background..I mounted her onto black card and I also mounted the backing papers onto it too ..The papers are glazed with encapsulated glitter ,sorry it does not show well on the pics which is such a shame. These beautiful papers are from Docrafts Bohemian paper pad..The flowers are cut from red card using die's from China and I have made a hole in the center and added some faux stamen ..I really like the look of these but really need to find a way to make it easier to put them in ,so fiddly for my poor old fingers lol!..but well worth it.

Progressive challenge Sasayaki Glitter

I fell in love with this image as soon as I saw her ,so fun being a witch in fun clothed ,all I could think of whilst colouring it was the old TV series "Bewitched"..Now I am showing my age lol!..I coloured her with my Polychromos Pencils on Neenah card ,then fussy cut her out,Then I created the card by first adding a background using papers from Hunkydory Delightful Deco paper pad, which I mounted onto Black card..I then used a piece of blue from the same pad and cut to size, then ripped some green and added these ..once trimmed I then went over the edges of the newly formed hills with a black Pitt Pen to help them stand out a little more..I then also mounted this onto the black card too and added to the card base..I bent the image slightly to give her a bit more shape then added her to the card with 3D glue gel..Its made a really quirky card ,I love doing cards like this ,but it does not suit all sorts of images...Thank you for popping by :)xx
