Sassayaki Glitter Challenge Reminder

Hiya ..This card has been a bit of a fun and games to do lol! ..Coloured with Polychromos Pencil and Touch five pens,The background was created using Pastel chalks to give a nice soft effect,I then did a thick squiggle around the image to frame it..Then mounted it onto Craft card..The fun and games came when I used the Dutch Doobadoo Template to create the background card for it lol!..I think in future I shall cut one of each size out in card as there are several sizes on the templateand then keep them for later use ,much easier ..The materiel the template is made from tends to wobble a bit and me I go loopy when using them ,Decide which section I am using, get around the bottom of the opposite side and duh! wrong lines lol ..what a game and when I am trying to get it done quickly too ..Anyway I digress..I chose to to side opening for this particular card rather than tent..The papers I have used are what is left from some paper pads I brought from Lidl's a couple of years ago and I just remembered there was some party themed ones in there..Very pretty too as they have encapsulated glitter all over the designs..I added these to Craft card too..The sentiment I used to finish and the flower were also from other papers in the pad and as they were so pretty I cut them out and used them..The flower is really sparkly ,and just finishes the card off nicely ..Thank you for popping by :)xx

Sasayaki Glitter New Release

Hiya..For today's New release I have used the super cute  image Sleepy Head ..But as you know I like to leave my cards open for when I sell them ,so this one can be used as a birthday card too or even a n I Love you card..and there is room for an added Sentiment ..I think it has worked out fab..
The image has been coloured with Touch 5 pens and with Polychromos pencils.. I am still in need of pen practice, but am loving the combination of both mediums..I used Neenah card for the surface of the image,I find this works for me..The papers are from First Editions Love Letters and I have mounted them onto craft card..the layer under the image I did my scribble around the edge to make it pop out,and all my sentiments are hand done, squiggled around and mounted onto craft card too..The image who is 'Shy' , inspired by the artists children..I cut him out with a white outline..The first two papers were glued down flat ,but the main one I glued with 3D glue to give depth then added the image and the sentiments too with the 3D glue..To finish I cut and matted a few of the tags that are in the pad and added them after shaping them down the edge and finished with some pretty flowers with tiny hearts in the middle to cover where the holes were.
Thank you for popping by :)xx

Morgans Artworld. ..Febuary Release

Hiya, this is my New release card and My fella's Valentines card too ..Does not need words on the front ,it says it all lol..I have coloured the beautiful image in using Polychromos pencils onto Neenah card,I then cut it out using one of the Mandella type Dies from Tonic,I think it was something Bramble, sorry I have had it ages and is stored on a magnetic sheet,..The main backing paper and the one inside are from First Editions Love Letters, and the pretty green smaller piece behind the image is from a Prima pad I had in a magazine a while back called Botanical Collection, which has a lovely grungy border around it and looks fab with the image..All the papers were matted onto Craft card..To finish I just added two hearts sparkly hearts in opposite corners..It is a simple card ,but it does not really need a lot as the image and the die are the main focus..Now to find a nice verse for the inside Thank you for popping by :)xx

613 Avenue Create Card

Hiya..To be honest I worried myself silly about this card and tried several attempts which ended in the bin and well.. I just could not think what to do apart from the sentiment..I cannot stamp due to the arthritis in my fingers so I was a bit stumped ..This is what I came up with in the end..
I cut a piece of water colour card to fit my card blank with an allowance for the mat..Then I cut out the middle size Tattered Lace Desert Rose flower and with a small stencil brush I added the water colour from the pens..First I scribbled it onto a glass mat which allowed me to pick up with the brush ..I used Rose, Pink,Sunflower and Sunset..I did not clean the brush between the colours as I did not want a defined difference in colour ..I am surprised at my first attempt how cool this looks as it is something I would never have thought of doing anything like this before so who knows what you will see next lol!.. I may even get some stencils next ..To finish the card I added the pre ..cut flower which I coloured orange ..I wanted the sentiment black but the rest of the card bright and sunny..I just love this sentiment ..It says so much ..Thank you for popping by :) xx

Sasayaki Glitter New Challenge Card

Hiya todays new card is for this month's challenge of the colour RED..I have used Touch Five pens and finished with Polychromos Pencils to colour in the lovely image of Lucy..I then used a Tattered lace Scalloped stitched Basic die set to cut out the image and the craft card base behind it..The papers I have used are from Tonics paper pad Folksy Florals and as these are the closest to reds that I have in papers ..I chose to use red accents in the background layers, all these were then mounted onto craft card...The flowers were cut from a Flower Punch from Hobbycraft I brought some years ago and I coloured them red to suit the card with my Pens ,Once done I then added little pretty white resin flowers with a pink center to finish..Once I glued down the papers to my 8x8 card blank I then added the topper with 3D glue Gel and added some Tuck -in Butterflies from Tattered Lace just under the edge to add a little texture and interest..I then glued on the flowers and leaves( also from a punch) and added a few red heart gem in alternate corners..Thank you for visiting :)xx

Sasayaki Glitter New Release

Hiya..Todays card is using this lovely image that I have coloured in Touch five Pens and finished with Polychromos Pencils..I know it is a bit unusual for me ,but my poor hands are suffering and the pens are a little gentler to colour with,...Sadly I am not much a Pen Colourist and have to finish in pencils which I know best... I have cut it out and added it to a craft card mat..The backing papers are from my tonic paper pads I have used the background one from the Folksy Florals one ,sadly not sure which the other two are from as they are from a part pad with no cover ,but they are still Tonic ones..These were also mounted onto craft card too and arranged on my 8x8 card blank..The topper was added with 3D glue gel ..The flowers also from Tonic are called Starburst Gazania..The bottom layer coloured to complement the card and I left the top white as you can see..I love the whole set of these flowers they really make a great feature on a card and complements the topper to as it adds to the fun theme of the card..I finished the card by adding faux peals in two different designs to the smaller and larger flowers..Thank you for Popping by :) xx

Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Reminder Card

Hiya..For the challenge reminder card ,I have coloured the lovely Mia in with Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card,I then cut her out leaving a small white outline around her to help her pop off the background paper..The papers I have used are from Crafter's Companion English Country Garden Paper pas ..The die cut for the Aperture and clothes are from China so name unknown ,but ideal for this card..I hand coloured all the accessories..Pens GRRRR!!! the tops show PINK and they come out orange ,my light in the front room is not that great and it was not until they were all done that I tried them under the White light by the pc that I found out..However you go in shops and their designs dont always match your clothes..In fact I think it has given a pretty pop of contrasting colour to the card..The papers were mounted onto craft card ,and the pretty flowers were punched using a punch from Hobbycraft I have had for a while ,as were the leaves..To finish I added some pretty faux multy pearls which make a nice center for the flowers ..Thank you for visiting :)xx

Sasayaki Glitter New Release

Hiya..I made this card base a few weeks ago and never used it.. Found it tonight and it just suited this cute image and what I wanted to do with it so much.. I finally got to use it ,so waste not ,hording craft stuff is very important!!! ,everything can be used lol!..
The lovely image is coloured using Polychromos Pencils on Neenah card,It was then cut out using a stitched stamp die ,then mounted onto gold card, cut straight then Centura Pearl in Pink..The flower has been cut from the Centura Pink card too using a Tonic Gerber Die..I just love these dies the whole set really makes a statement if using just one or as a group...I have on this occasion left it so there is no backing on the flower to keep it looking soft and light ,In the center I have places a vintage button to which I have placed a new sparkling blue gem ,this picks the blue out of the wings, and off the sprinkles on the cake..The backing card is from Kanban and is white with silver overprinted and picks the light up as you move past it ,but more softly than if it was all silver..To finish ,I added three pink gems to the bottom corner just to add a bit more sparkle ..I am very pleased with the colours they have worked lovely together on this card so pretty, making it look lovely and fresh ..Thanks for popping by :)xx

Morgan Fitszimmons Artworld New Release card

Hiya..For today's New release I have chosen to do this beautiful image,I have coloured her in with Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card..This I then cut our and mounted onto some dark green mirror card..For the card base I have used Tonic Essentials Ribbon and Bows Layering dies, these I have backed each one with the dark green mirror card which just glints through the gaps in the die cut edges of the white layers..I chose to do this ,as the inspiration came from looking at some of the old bowls and plated that had the latice edges and this image when it was finished suited the style so well,I think so anyway..It looks nice on her but in real it is so stunning ,Being held by a Plastic plate holder at the moment as I still need to make the card holder for it ..The flowers ..I kept very simple ,hand coloured as well as the leaves to get the right shade I wanted ,these were both cut from dies I brought from Ebay and are from Hong Kong.. so have no makers name with them ..,so those who are thinking of buying them and are a bit worried ,don't be ,dies are expensive ,especially when you first start out and it helps to build your stash up without having to break the bank..They cut fine and have not had any problems with mine..To finish I added a few cream flat back pearls..Thank you for popping by :)xx

Late DT card for 613 Avenue..Floral Shoe

Hiya..I checked what was our project earlier and it seemed a creative piece,so I have not coloured ,but have made a floral 3D shoe for the new challenge that begins today.. For the body I cut out using a Tattered Lace 3D shoe die ..However there are a lot of shoe templates available for free on the internet ,so look around and you will find some really nice ones..I used Santorio Mirabelle paper pad with gloss roses on to construct the shoe with as it is thick and stiff and holds well in 3D work..Once I cut the shoe I folded all the little tabs down ready to stick down..I started with glue but found it not working for me in this case, but the tabs are very small on this die..So instead I used the red high tack red glue ,attached to the base of the shoe then gradually went around sticking the upper part of the shoe to the sole..Then I covered the tags with a bit of pink Centura Pearl so it looks neat underneath as well as giving it extra support..You will probably not have the same problem with the glue it was too fiddly for me to use,as my fingers are stiff and sore from arthritis and for me this is a very rare project ..but I do love creating different things as a change from cards. The flowers and leaves and roses are from some dies I have had from some time and been in my die caddy on magnetic sheets so I do not know the name of them, the smaller flowers are from punches and are just the right size to complement the roses..all these were added with 3D glue gel..Shape your flowers for things like this and for cards ,they look so much more natural looking than just cut out flowers stuck down ,it is what makes the card or project..I have to make a box for it but as I have been up all night I need sleep first ,but I will put the picture on when I have finished ..Thanks for popping by :)xx

Saturday Sketch card Little Miss Muffet

Hiya ,I am back after the Christmas extended break due to being unwell ,what a bad month I hope you have not had the bad colds that have been going around,Just got over a chest infection then caught mine lol ... I never do things by halves ..But feel much better now,and I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas..
For this pretty card I have used a Little Miss Muffet digital stamp ,the link for it is above, I have coloured her on Neenah card using Polychromos pencils,I then cut her out and mounted her onto some lilac Centura Pearl to frame her..The papers I used are from a pad from GCD Melody Ross Design Collection and this pad is the Lydia collection ..very lush, rich ,pretty papers, sadly coming to an end now. You can see by the sketch under the card I have followed the layout ..Was a bit worried about this team to begin with but i find it is quite good fun finding the matching papers to create the sketches and its a change from having to design from scratch..So please do pop over and have a go at the challenge, who knows you could have your card picked out...Thank you for popping by :)xx
